Liverpool are eager to sign Bournemouth's attacker

Multiple media outlets have reported that Liverpool are keen to sign David Brooks from Bournemouth.

Bournemouth have already sold their star defender Nathan Ake to Manchester City and now, several clubs want to add their Welsh attacking player to their squad.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool are keen to sign the 23-year-old, who is considering buying clubs such as Man United, Everton and Spurs.

Citing reports from a popular newsletter and claiming that many big clubs in Europe want the youngster to play international matches for the country.

Bournemouth has yet to receive an official offer.

In the 2018-19 season, Brooks, who is basically a right-wing player, played in multiple offensive positions and he scored 12 goals and contributed 7 assists. Most notably, he got a goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford . He created a goal and a assist against Chelsea at home.

Unfortunately, he suffered a long-term ankle injury and had to spend most of the 2019-2020 season sitting on the bench. Since the resumption of football in June, he has been in the starting XI in six league games under Eddie Howe and has scored just one goal.

His current contract will expire in less than two years and he is still worth £ 40 million after sitting on the bench for most of his term. Liverpool have a lot of qualified and talented attacking players, but should they spend £ 40 million on David Brooks?

I don't think so. We have world class players Mane and Salah whose value is 30 30 million and 34 34 million respectively.
